Dr. Jess studied dentistry at the University of Melbourne and worked in private practices in Geelong and Cairns before finally returning to Melbourne in 2009. Since then she has been constantly involved in the teaching of dental students at the University of Melbourne as a clinical demonstrator. Ever since graduating as a dentist, Jess has continued to further herself as a practitioner, completing her Fellowship in General Dental Practice, before embarking on her road to becoming a Periodontist at the University of Melbourne in 2014. She has been working as a periodontist at the Perio Centre since 2016. Her interests are all aspects of comprehensive periodontal management, mucogingival surgery and implant surgery. Dr. Melosh completed her Bachelors in Oral Health at the University of Durban in 1991. After graduating, she spent a short time in general private practice and was offered a position at the School of Dentistry, UDW where she lectured for 16 years before immigrating to Australia and working in Specialist Periodontics. She went onto graduate with her Masters of Public Health Degree (UQ) and completed her PhD on perioscopy treatment (UMelb) in June 2020. Her interests are non-surgical periodontal surgery including perioscopy and supportive periodontal maintenance for implant supported prosthesis. Learn more about Dr. Melosh Naicker

Dr. Alex, graduated top of his class at the University of Adelaide, before pursuing advanced studies in Periodontics at the University of Melbourne. His interests include oral systemic health links and pre-restorative, reconstructive and orthodontic periodontal surgery. Dr. Alex is co-director of ITI Malvern and part of the Australian Society of Periodontology. Serving as the Director of General Dental Residency, he is passionate about creating structured programs to allow dentists and oral health therapists to create paths for success in their careers.
